Welcome Message
The Biomaterials and Controlled Release Society in Taiwan has been established for over 20 years. Our society aims to promote research and development in biomedical materials and pharmaceuticals in Taiwan, serving as a platform for collaboration among academia, industry, and government. Through our society, scholars can participate in international conferences organized by the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering (IUSBSE), World Biomaterials Congress (WBC), Controlled Release Society (CRS), Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS), and other leading academic organizations, fostering global exchanges and enhancing the research standards in biomaterials and controlled release in Taiwan.
The 2024 Annual Meeting of Biomaterials and Controlled Release Society in Taiwan and the International Advanced Drug Delivery Symposium will be held on August 15-16 at the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University. The symposium will cover various applications related to biomaterials and drug delivery, including biomaterial analysis, immunotherapy, drug nanocarrier transport, precision medicine, biomedical imaging, tissue engineering, biomedical sensing, clinical trial results, industry-academia forums, and business cooperation opportunities. The organizing committee comprises top researchers from leading academic and research institutions such as National Tsing Hua University, Industrial Technology Research Institute, National Health Research Institutes, National Taiwan University, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, including Yu-Chen Hu, Hsing-Wen Sung, Jui-Mei (Maggie) Lu, Ping-Fu Cheng, Feng-Huei Lin, Tai-Horng Young, San-Yuan Chen, Hsin-Cheng Chiu, Chia-Wen (Kevin) Wu, Li-Fang Wang, I-Chi Lee, Mei-Wei Lin, Jui-Yang Lai, Chun-Hsu Yao, Shang-Hsiu Hu, Yun-Ching Chen, Jen-Huang Huang, Chien-Wen Chang, Dehui Wan, Tzong-Hong Lin, Mei-Chin Chen, Tzu-Wei Wang, Yi-Chen Li, Hsu-Wei Fang, Ching-Li Tseng, and Yu-Hsin Lin. It is expected that 350-400 participants from academia, industry, and research institutions will attend this symposium to share innovative technologies, clinical research, and strategic decisions. Through exchanges of the latest research and development information, we hope to promote innovative biomaterials and drug delivery technologies in Taiwan, develop superior outcomes, achieve commercialization and internationalization, and increase the chances of successful product launches.
To cultivate and encourage young researchers in the field of biomedical materials and drug delivery in Taiwan, the conference will also hold the "Professor Zhao-Ren Li Foundation for Biomedical Engineering Young Scholar Award," "Biomaterials and Controlled Release Society in Taiwan Young Scholar Award," and an oral/poster competition for master's and doctoral students. Winners of the young scholar awards may receive funding to attend international conferences, subject to approval by the society's budget.
This conference, combined with the International Symposium on Innovative Drug Delivery Systems (IADDS), promises to be a remarkable event. We sincerely invite all members and scholars to participate actively and extend the invitation to other relevant colleagues.
The deadline for paper submission is June 15 (one-page abstract), and early bird discounts are available for payments completed by July 22.
We look forward to your attendance!
Wishing everyone peace and good health.
